Susan Marrotte

Susan Marrotte joined the Rest Stop Ministries team in 2021, though her connection to RSM had been unfolding long before. Years earlier, she had referred a friend’s daughter to End Slavery Tennessee, who later graduated from Rest Stop Ministries.

She firmly believes God’s hand was at work in leading her here. At the time, she had just given her two weeks ’ notice at her previous job when a CPA with connections to her former employer mentioned that Ken Glaus was searching for a part-time bookkeeper. Introductions were made, ultimately bringing her to the role she feels so incredibly blessed to have today.

With years of experience as a bookkeeper and accountant, she plays a vital role in keeping the financial side of the ministry running smoothly. She holds an Associate Degree in Accounting and Business Administration, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Heritage Bible College, which she earned in 2018. She is just a few classes away from completing her Master’s Degree also.

Beyond her expertise in responsibly balancing the books, she is passionate about counseling. She is a certified Temperament and Pastoral Counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association, and also achieved a license as a Pastoral Counselor and became a member of the Sarasota Academy of Christian Counselors in 2019. Her faith is at the center of her life, and she loves participating in church activities and Bible study, always seeking to grow spiritually and share with others.

When she isn’t working at the farm on Wednesdays, she cherishes time with her family, babysitting her grandchildren and caring for her mother. She loves spending time her home, Shalom Acres in Watertown, where she enjoys cooking and baking. Her loyal Sheltie, Hope, makes time at home even sweeter.

She remains deeply grateful for the path that led her to Rest Stop Ministries, knowing with certainty: God is so good!
