As the Senior Director of Finance and Administration at Rest Stop, Patty supports the team by overseeing finance, developing business and HR policies based on best practices, facilitating process improvement discussions, and helping implement and maintain new IT solutions.

Jennifer Tetrick is honored to serve at Rest Stop Ministries, where she embodies resilience, hope, and the transformative power of healing. As a survivor of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and sexual exploitation, Jennifer’s journey is a testament to the possibility of overcoming trauma and embracing a triumphant life.

Connie grew up in a Christian home where her father served as a pastor for forty years, instilling in her a deep desire to serve God in ministry. From a young age, she felt called to serve others and, as a young adult, joined the New Life Drama Co.

Lauren joined team Rest Stop in February 2024 as our Program and Volunteer Coordinator. She has over 4 years of prior experience in another local anti-trafficking ministry and 9 years total of social work experience.

Brenda Miller

Brenda is an Ohio native that moved to Fort Worth Texas at the age of 10. Brenda has lived in Tennessee for eight years now and has been a part of Team Rest Stop for over four years. She has three children and two beloved dogs.

Hannah grew up in Houston but has called Nashville home since 2017. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. Hannah also holds a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health Science with an emphasis in trauma from Grand Canyon University.

Julia is a Residential Coach at Rest Stop Ministries with a passion for anti-trafficking advocacy. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work, and has served in the anti-trafficking field with compassion and dedication for several years. Julia recently married her sweet husband, Joshua. Julia's hobbies of musical theatre, dancing, and singing, bring her healing and joy.

Drawing on a strong clinical and community practice foundation, she has worked across programs serving children, families, and adults, always centering trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. As a seasoned grant writer and nonprofit strategist, Jamie McAfee has secured funding for initiatives focused on mental health, housing stability, youth development, community empowerment, and more, helping organizations expand services and strengthen long-term sustainability. In her leadership roles, she has guided cross-functional teams, built community partnerships, and developed data-driven programs that align mission, impact, and funding priorities. With a background in nonprofit program leadership, Jamie specializes in translating community needs into compelling, data-informed proposals that attract sustainable funding. Blending clinical insight with strategic planning, she brings a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective to every project, ensuring that funded programs are both client-centered and outcome-driven. Currently, Jamie serves as a grant writer for Rest Stop Ministries, where she combines her social work training with expertise in fund development and evaluation, to help nonprofits tell their stories and achieve measurable outcomes. She is passionate about mentoring emerging professionals, amplifying community’s voice, and using strategic philanthropy to drive lasting social change.
