Patty Sargent, BS
Patty serves as the Senior Director of Finance and Administration at Rest Stop Ministries, where she plays a vital role in supporting the team by overseeing financial operations, developing business and HR policies based on best practices, facilitating process improvement initiatives, and assisting in the implementation and maintenance of new IT solutions.
Patty brings extensive experience from her time as the Executive Director of a similarly sized nonprofit organization in Southern California. She understands the importance of building effective processes to support an organization’s mission. Additionally, Patty draws on her 25+ years of experience as a former director of projects and process improvement at a California hospital district, as well as her work as a consultant and project manager, implementing business solutions across multiple industries. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from California Polytechnic State University and has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2007.
Patty and her husband, Allen, have been married for 30 years and raised their three children while actively engaging in their church community in rural San Diego County. After all three adult children moved to Middle Tennessee, Patty and Allen decided to relocate to enjoy life in Tennessee. In her free time, Patty enjoys spending time with her family, playing games, engaging with fellow Christians and friends at Hermitage Church, snuggling with her dogs, and listening to her husband play music.
